- For the last two years at Barcombe Primary School, we have had the good fortune to have Louis Munnery in charge of sport provision, both during and after school hours and during the summer holidays. It was during the summer holiday two or three years ago that I first encountered Louis and his wife,Charlotte. They were advertising a sports camp for children during the holidays, ideal for days when parents and carers were unable to be at home due to work commitments or otherwise. I signed my two youngest ones up for it and they came home raving about it. I never looked back. They have been regular and enthusiastic attendees at each and every holiday camp run by Louis and Charlotte. Topsy Kenedy, Barcombe
I know that Rosie has been encouraged by Mr Munnery to participate in a variety of sports and team activities. He has been incredibly positive towards her, always encouraging her and has highlighted her abilities. By achieving in this area of her school life, Rosie's confidence does seem to have grown significantly. She would never have even considered joining the football club prior to Mr M's input with her. This shows just how much she has grown in her confidence. This year, Rosie has been much happier at school. She is becoming more independent and this has naturally followed on from her growing confidence. She has always loved sport, team games and being active. I am so happy that Mr M has been able to engage Rosie in something she feels proud of. When she can see the rewards of her hard work, it has a great effect on her confidence and overall happiness at school. I am really happy with the way Mr M works with Rosie and other children like her. Using sport and physical activity as a way of encouraging kids to achieve and feel good about themselves is such a valuable support to have within a school. In my opinion, this kind of success is just as important as their 'academic' acheivements. Jane Cryer, Hamsey Parent
- Mr Munnery! Wow, what a fabulous day the sports day was! It was such a pleasure to see the kids competing, pulling together and celebrated each others success. Getting that balance right can be very hard but you managed it very successfully. I wanted to thank you for all of your teaching input to Stan and Tiggy this year. They really enjoy their time doing PE, Nurture Club and Football with you. In fact, Tiggy has said more than once that she was looking forward to a day because of your lesson. The children get so much out of their lessons, they are of course fitter and stronger but also calmer and have a greater capacity to concentrate. These things all add together to make them more confident and self assured.

- Morning Charlotte. Just wanted to thank you for all your help this year. I know there are no miracle cures and it’s all still a work in progress with Leah etc, but being able to talk helps. I’m grateful that my daughter can come to you. Wishing you and your family a wonderful Christmas and a very happy new year. Xxx Parent of Student at Ringmer Academy
- I was referred to Charlotte during my last year at secondary school and she was a wonderful help with my anxiety, which got worse as exams got closer. But she helped me with coping strategies and distractions.
